What type of pig does Sunglo Starter work well on?

Starter is an aggressive approach to sale-day muscle and bloom, so starting with a baby pig that's sound, square, and good built is always the right step. Baby pigs that generally need more muscle and shape are ones that respond best to Starter. If you have babies that already have plenty of muscle, check out Sunglo 803.

How does Sunglo Starter compare to others in the industry? 

Starter is the preferred choice of some of the most recognizable and successful breeders in the show pig industry due to its elevated levels of show micronutrients that support strong bone growth and muscle mass, making babies ready to sell quickly. 

How much Sunglo Starter do I need to feed and when do I feed it? 

We recommend feeding Starter from approximately 25-50 lbs. However, you as the producer need to decide what's best for that pig based on genetics and your selling timeline. Some pigs need more than others to maximize their muscle and bloom, while others need less if they respond quickly.
